Hi Cane-Talk friends. Thanks for asking about me and posting these messages of concern. My husband and I are alive and well and our house (Deltec) is undamaged at the levels on top of the high concrete pilings. All the damage is at the ground level. We lost 5 feet of sand across the entire property. The septic tank is sitting on top of the ground where it used to be covered by grass but is naked and exposed now and the drain field is gone and will need to be replaced before we can have the water turned back on. Water lines are broken but that is one of the easier repairs. Our elevator foundation is suspended in the air but we are able to use our spiral stairs to get up into the house. Our power is back on so our air-conditioning is keeping the house comfortable and the food in our fridge cold. Even our internet and wifi are on and working well. We are figuring out how to stay in the house even without having the water and septic repaired yet. We have a good friend who has made his nearby undamaged house available to us so that we can take showers and do laundry. Alligator Point people are proving themselves to be resilient and helping each other as much as possible. So many lost much more than we did in this horrific hurricane. Thank you for being so kind and caring here in this Hurricane City Cane-talk forum.
