and there are so many who do not realize - when I speak to my family who live thousands of miles away from the coast their question is "why should we pay for people who want to live where it floods" until their little patch of land gets 6" of rain an hour for several hours & the local zoo is wiped out & even though their towns are relatively built on granite & the land doesn't sink, the fish are getting contaminated in their "land of 10,000 lakes" and there are warnings for pregnant women not to eat too much local caught fish and how much will it take for everyone to realize that our earth is fragile and we need to care for it

I just do not understand the willful ignorance of many - sorry, stepping off my soapbox, for now
