| Hi Rob ! I just now found your post. We did not get any damage other than our new grass sod looking a bit salt-spray distressed. The grass did a good job of preventing any sand from washing away on our yard. We are fortunate to be located before the road washout area and the road in front of our house was not damaged by Nestor and our road-frontage pavement is in good condition. The county road crew got all the broken pavement and debris cleared from the damaged section further west of us and brought in multiple truckloads of sand and limerock to make the road usable as a dirt road again from Clement St. to Tom Roberts Rd where the pavement was destroyed. I feel sorry for the people who have houses along that section because the road dust from traffic will blow right at them again until permanent repaving can be funded. Hope you and Kate are well and enjoying life in your new home. |
