Can't take credit for the expandable box. That is the browser. Chrome and Firefox both have that. I'm not sure for how long they have had that, but it seems like it's been awhile. I use that occasionally.
It would be nice to have other radar options. Weather Underground's site (https://www.wunderground.com/radar/) is getting worse and I don't think it's going to get better. (the NEXRAD radar display there) I do hope that the NWS decides to keep something that isn't interactive as well. I like interactive displays, but I also like regular imagery in a static display. The Weather Underground uses to have the best display, but now they are prioritizing the interactive map it seems and I don't know if they will even have the static NEXRAD display in the future. It doesn't allow you to zoom in easily like it used to. It jumps around when you crop the display. Sometime I can crop the display if I do it before the page loads.
For the new NWS site, "Saving animations out for use elsewhere" might be promising, though it might mean that you can save the animation from the interactive display which some other sites have on interactive maps.
I just like less interactive options too when it comes to radar. Often the interactive displays have radar data that is rounded off. I like the pixelation and more detail.

And I thought I would also mention that Jeff Masters has left the Weather Underground.
A post written by Bob Henson titled "Bon Voyage to the Masters of Cat 6: The One and Only Jeff": https://www.wunderground.com/cat6/Bon-Voyage-Masters-Cat-6-One-and-Only-Jeff
And here is Jeff Masters last post there: https://www.wunderground.com/cat6/So-Long-Wunderground
