I think Java has security issues also?

I remember referring to Java as taking so long to load you could go make a cup of java & come back to your pc before it loads, but that was on a different version of Windows & older pc. I think more recently it was a malware issue, but I know enough just to be dangerous, so don't take my word for that.

They were pushing the Enhanced Data Display (EDD) for a while & it was feature-packed, oodles of radar options but a huge data hog

Lately I've seen the Weather & Hazards site touted on NWS-related social media, developed out of WRH, I think https://www.wrh.noaa.gov/map/ not a lot of options for radar there, but I do use that site quite a bit

I think whatever they use, for the public, it will be geared toward mobile devices, which kinda sucks for those of us who like to use old-school, pc or laptop.
