oh well a very weak landfalling system, At least the last 2 Fred's reached Hurricane, And made history

Cat 3 2009

Several days after Erika dissipated,[38] a new tropical depression formed southeast of the Cape Verde Islands on September 7. This depression rapidly intensified within an environment of low wind shear and high sea surface temperatures. Receiving the name Fred on September 8, the storm quickly developed an eye feature and was upgraded to a hurricane roughly 24 hours after being named. Within a 12hour span, the storm's winds increased by 40 mph (65 km/h) to its peak of 120 mph (195 km/h). Upon reaching this intensity, Fred became the strongest storm on record south of 30°N and east of 35°W in the Atlantic basin. Not long after the intensification ceased, it began to weaken as dry air became entrained within the system. By September 11, the storm nearly stalled northwest of the Cape Verde Islands and weakened to a tropical storm. The following day, Fred degenerated into a remnant low before taking a westward track across the Atlantic. The remnants of Fred persisted for nearly a week, nearly regenerating into a tropical depression several times. The low eventually dissipated on September 19, to the south of Bermuda.[16]

Cat 1 2015

At the threat of the hurricane, all of Cape Verde was placed under a hurricane warning for the first time in history.[55] Gale-force winds battered much of the Barlavento region through August 31, downing numerous trees and utility poles.[56] On the easternmost islands of Boa Vista and Sal, Fred leveled roofs and left several villages without power and phone services for several days. About 70 percent of the houses in Povoaço Velha were damaged to some degree.[57] Throughout the northern islands, rainstorms damaged homes and roads, and So Nicolau lost large amounts of its crop and livestock.[58] Monetary losses reached $2.5 million across Cape Verde,[59] though the rain's overall impact on the agriculture was positive.[60] Swells from the hurricane produced violent seas along West African shores, destroying fishing villages and submerging large swaths of residential area in Senegal.[61] Overall, nine deaths were directly attributed to Fred.[53]
