Once more a tropical storm. Fortunately for my family the track has shifted back east of us, toward Destin instead of Mobile. For now we're still in the cone, but 'only' under Tropical Storm Watch as opposed to Warnings east of here. Yes, it could change again, and we've got an eagle eye out as always, but for now I'm feeling a little more hopeful. Sounds as if wind shear should prevent rapid intensification even though the Gulf waters are plenty hot, and that's another comfort.
