I updated my satellite page to include overlays I use a lot in Google Earth to create those images. http://tropicalatlantic.com/satellite/#world_coastlines
Google Earth got rid of their coastlines overlay so I added one to my site that works like the old one did. I also added Blue Marble and Earth at Night imagery layers that contain the image inside the file rather than relying on a network link to download the data on demand. While this isn't great performance wise, and could crash Google Earth if your computer doesn't have enough memory, it allows you to put other image layers on top of these. I do that a lot when I set a satellite layer to be partially transparent. |
