I'm glad it avoided you. It's kind of an odd thing to see when the water rises and it looks nice out. That can happen sometimes even with hurricanes, but it still seems kind of odd, at least to me.

Did you lose a lot of beach in it? In some of the video of a canal the water seems calm, but I don't know how protected of an area it was from the waves. The past few fronts here in the Tampa Bay area have really done a number on some of the beaches that they had just added sand and dunes back to after the hurricane. But those are Gulf facing beaches and on the bay side where some of the neighborhoods have flooded in these fronts, the water can be calm sometimes too. But then I also remember seeing some video of one of the bridges across Tampa Bay and the waves crashing onto the roadway during one of the last fronts, so it just depends I guess. (not really a bridge, but the road that goes to the eventual bridge)
