I was reading the executive order on the new official name, only in the U.S., for the northern Gulf. I thought it was more of just something dumb that we can all ignore. Instead, it forces all the government to use it. That's going to have an impact on NOAA products I have to think. Think of all the Gulf products. You now have a new region that by law they have to use. I hope it doesn't break too much of the software as in a month it is supposed to be implemented. We'll see if they get extra time to adapt. Such a stupid thing just because he hates people from Mexico and doesn't want the name used. And that's just the dumb. The pardons, that just makes me want him impeached already. That's treason on day one. But nothing matters any more. Such a long four years to come. Out of the climate agreement, WHO and so much more. The environment is going to take a massive hit. Around the world really. Other nations will probably follow as if we don't do anything, a lot of others won't too. And yeah, I'm sure they'll be another oil spill because of him at some point. I'll brand that Trump's oil spill and it'll probably be in the renamed area so America will have it's name all over it. His rich friends could make lots of money and get off any foreign dependence we have on oil if we moved off fossil fuels, but he hates anything environmental so even if it made gobs of money, they wouldn't be for it. They like money, so maybe it would take a certain amount. But probably not even then. Half the country has gone off the deep end unfortunately and thanks to social media reinforcing bad things from bad people, it's not going to get better. Who knows where we're heading. |
