What a wild ride it has been the last 48 hrs!! 9+ inches of rain, hurricane strength gusts with resulting damage, trees down etc.. Beautiful Norfolk Botanical, the one with the Eagle Cam, lost over 50 trees. Norfolk Airport is still without power.
You guys would get a kick out of this note I just posted on my FB...
"Figures...we went to Lowes, HD etc... Finally decided on a generator $$, got gas, all the accessories necessary...getting close to 20 hrs without power, concerned about freezer of food. Got everything in truck...got home...porch light was on!! Groan!! :-) " |
