Hi DM:

Hope you had a good winter.

I think SAL is low right now because UL winds are blowing the sand back into the Sahara.

Check out WV - pretty windy.

One thing I have noticed is that LL vorticities will kick up a lot of dust in the Sahara and if the trades are right will blow it out to sea.

Need to keep an eye on surface lows over Africa.
