| I was living in the Tampa Bay area when Wilma hit. I remember the day well. We missed that bullet by no more than 70-100 miles. That night and the next morning were violently blustery in downtown St. Pete, where I was living back then. Could have been a hell of a lot worse. Tampa's seeming invulnerability to a direct hit continues to astound me. It won't last forever. |
