LOL! Can't believe I just saw you mention the 2nd law of thermodynamics after I just mentioned it in a post a few minutes ago....what a hoot! (What are the odds two people would mention such a thing?)
The 2nd law of thermodynamics is one helluva powerful law (the most powerful in all of physics.) That it crushes many religious beliefs is one of the main reasons religious fundamentalism and science are mutually exclusive. (For example, the 2nd law of thermodynamics makes it absolutely, positively impossible for a dead person to return to life due to entropy and irreversibility.)

And on a side note, oh how I wish EVERYONE knew that "laws" are like $1 bills in science; that is, they are the basic units, and that "theories" are $100 bills; they are comprised of mountains of evidence combined with physical "laws." A theory is far higher than a law....yet how many times do we hear something is "only a theory", sheesh!
