The "room full of people" thing.....ha! I participated in that experiment once (as part of an intense psychological, week-long event known as "Lifespring." Our group of about 100 was subjected to all sorts of psychological themes from various famous (global) psychology concepts in a strictly regulated environment. It was intense and even brutal for some...but I survived with only mental scratches and bruises.

Oh...how did I do in the experiment mentioned above? Ha-ha! I was one of several who rose and went to the front...but I was not selected a leader. (My effort was quite meek compared to a few others...as I was only half-heartedly interested.)
As for the self-awareness aspect of Lifespring; yes it had an effect, but mostly in that...ah...by being a participant in so many psychologically stressing activities...I learned more about psychology itself...rather than me as a person. (If that makes any sense.)
In any case, Lifespring was one hell of an experience.
