Couple things to look for.
1) Whales / dolphins beaching themselves. They are very sensitive to magnetic field changes. It may not happen in PR. Watch out if you hear about it in DR or VI. This can happen anywhere from a few hours before the event to a couple days.
2) Rainbow colored clouds in the sky. This comes from two sources. Crystals being activated in the fault and electron precipitation from the ionosphere. If you see or hear of this one, it is usually an hour or two before the quake. Take action immediately then.
