CUTE! And raising my hand as guilty-- although more to this board and the stormcarib one-- more factual info. I am watching because of "interests" along the path-- some involving my insurance, others family and assorted friends.
Yes-- they enjoy the benefits of living where they do (me too) -- until as Jimbo so aptly put it--the hurricane comes knocking on your door and it's big, mean, and ugly destructive.
And I type here in Raleigh, as the sound of chippers cleaning up the trees and branches from the storm resounds. Happy that I am not needing to use the "emergency ferries" to get from the Outer Banks to the grocery store--cause the road is gone. |
