I think Tampa/Orlando will be okay. A front will protect them and act as a shield. But Fort Myers to the tip of Cuba is still in the danger zone. The front should do a number on it once it gets in the Eastern gulf, but it will still provide some nasty weather should it take the GFDL path and head across South Florida and towards the Bahamas.
