OK, I know I promised I'd hold off until 2100 - but ... DANG. You'll note from
the image here that Sanba no longer has a "pinhole" eye - it's the giant swirling Eye of Doom from the Lord of the Rings.

Typhoon Sanba is 650 miles south of us, heading north at about nine knots - and packing winds of 115 knots with gusts up to 140 (132 mph gusting to 161 mph - if you want it in cubits per second, you're going to have to google it yourself). And that's what it's doing NOW. When it gets to Okinawa on Sunday morning (currently passing to our west - the bad side - at about 40 miles), it'll be stronger. Wow.

With wind like that, I was all set to go walk you through the math for how long it'll take your Little Tykes playground to travel 50 yards and how fast it'll be going when it impacts the windshield of your neighbors car, glances off, slams into a lightpost, disintegrates into a thousand pieces sending multi-colored plastic shards into the power transformer at the end of the street and then into someone's back door and . but I stink at math, and you get the picture. We'll be setting TCCOR 3 in the morning, so do us all a favor AND GET THE FRIGGIN' LITTLE TYKES THING PUT AWAY! Sheesh!!

Just to give myself a little wiggle room, this storm could easily turn left, right, fall apart or do the hokey pokey. But it's not likely. Don't worry - you live in the same house that protected that smug third little piggy so well. Just follow the checklist and prepare for rough seas, Li'l Buddy! (Pop Culture Reference?) More to follow; stay tuned, stay safe! Stormy
