i know Gia! Last week when the hype first started I was like "C'mon, that's 7 days out!!! Call me Sunday!"

It's Saturday and I'm calling you! You get what I'm sayin? So Surreal.

My cousin just bought a house a couple blocks from the beach outside of NYC. I'm very concerned. He is being the typical layperson (and I expect moer from him because he's so smart) saying "my neigbhors said they lived here for 50 years and it's never flooded" I replied to him...

"Your neighbors haven't seen anything like this in 50 years, trust me"

I'm particulary worried about storm surge in NYC. I'm suprised the hype is not more geared towards that.

The size, intensity and windfield span is cause enough for concern, forget precip and actual winds. 30ft waves reported by a NOAA bouy near Sandy (Frankenstorm)

It's almost surreal. I'm having trouble focusing on schoolwork because of this storm.

I feel like emailing our professor and being like "Since everyone is glued to weather data nad forecast maps can our midterm be monday instead of Wednesday? " LOL
