We've received tons of rain in Tampa here this summer. I wish someone else did have a chance.
It rains almost every day. We set a daily record for rainfall yesterday:
"RECORD EVENT REPORT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAMPA BAY FL 438 AM EDT WED AUG 15 2013
...RECORD DAILY MAXIMUM RAINFALL SET AT TAMPA...
A RECORD RAINFALL OF 2.11 INCHES WAS SET AT TAMPA YESTERDAY. THIS BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 2.06 SET IN 1917."
We got more at my house, even though I am about a mile or two from that station.
This morning in the middle of the night I was herding giant frogs in my screen enclosed pool area out the door. They were jumping up the walls, up my leg and into the pool. (all are safe) They are all around my neighborhood. I have seen more in the past month, maybe even just in the past week, than I have ever seen before combined. Of course there are all sorts of other bugs as well due to the rain.
