All of today's recon missions into the disturbance (Invest 92L) in the NW Carib have been canceled, likely due to proximity to land and a decrease in organization overnight. Air Force recon has been scheduled for tomorrow for this disturbance, if necessary.

---

Meanwhile, NASA's two Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicles, as part of the Hurricane and Severe Storm Sentinel (HS3) mission, will complete the transit to NASA's Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia by Friday. The first aircraft arrived Wednesday. HS3 science flights will be available to be run from August 20th through September 23rd this year "to study tropical storms and the processes that underlie hurricane formation and intensification".
