we actually have rain this morning & a temp in the lower 70s right now - I'm in heaven ! we made a trip to northern MN recently & the temps there were awesome, it hit the 100s here while we were gone & the kids had to water constantly.
we have toads that live in the space between the foundation and the patio cement, amazing that they fit in there, they must have tunnels into the cooler dirt below the patio. they come out every evening at dusk & return in the early morning - have to be careful not to step on them when we go out the back door. they're like pets and eat bugs so we like them :) at our last home when they started spraying for mosquitos many times a week after we flooded, the toads all disappeared, so I guess they are a sign of a healthier ecosystem
