Just a few customizations for Comodo.
Tasks (upper right corner) > Advanced Tasks > Open Advanced Settings > General Settings > User Interface
You can uncheck:
Show messages from Comodo Message Center
Show notification messages
Show welcome screen on startup
Show desktop widget
Show the 'Upgrade' button in the main window
And if you want to turn off automatic scanning and only do it manually (not necessarily recommending that, but if you wanted to do that):
Scan > Custom Scan > More Scan Options
For both "Full Scan" and "Quick Scan": Select one of them and then go to arrow at the bottom and click it. Then click "Edit". Select "Schedule". Select "Do not schedule this task". And press OK. Do that for the other then or only to just the one you want.
I might have half a million files on my computer, so I only scan occasionally because I use strong settings. It would be a good idea for most people to let the quick scan happen automatically. But at the very least do a full scan after installing the program just to make sure nothing is there currently. |
