Fortunately tomato/vegetables planting season has not yet started for that area. Hopefully not a lot of migrants have come in yet but they may have because of school starting already. If they have I hope Collier got them to shelters or that could get ugly around there.
A run up 29 would also do a number on the sugarcane south and west of the lake. If it does make this run I hope one of the storm chasers puts a remote camera where the lake and fisheating creek meet. That is the only open spot in the dike and this track pushes water straight into the open spot. No people between the dikes so it would make for good video with no risk to people.
I Should explain that my family is from Lakeport area and my grandmother spent the 26 hurricane in a cypress tree just off Fisheating creek so we know what a storm can do when it pushes water up that creek. |
