Unacceptable to me, and I would think quite a few other "rational" people. I remind you that this is in light of the tragedy of 9/11, and even more recent threats against airliners since then. Airline security and communication systems have been greatly enhanced since then, and yet with this disappearance we know very little. Almost total darkness. We may never find this plane. I've heard nothing from Paris about any communication from the cockpit specifiying anything seriously wrong. We do have automated messages from the aircraft detailing some system failures, but apparently not near enough for investigators to piece anything together giving a probable cause. This almost total lack of info I find unacceptable in the light of the recent past. And I don't think that my position is either irrational or "insane" as you suggest. However Tim, I might consider your obsession with my posts as borderline irrational, if not actually symptomatic of neurosis.
