And continuing with the heat theme. Here is the seven day forecast for SW La-Laf showing upper 90 and 100 degree readings. However the forecast high-low is running around 77 degrees. Not as impressive as your readings in Tampa, which show a greater heat content in the atmosphere. High temps will be about the same, but your low temps are higher than those of SW La. Sw La. tends to be a little drier than SE La or Fl. Thus the all-time record high for Lafayette, is 107degrees!! But I repeat, I like the high-low method of determining who actually has the most latent heat in the atmosphere, and right now, you'd be hard pressed to find a location hotter than central Fl. SW La.
