Dothan weather for the past 3 days: http://www.srh.noaa.gov/data/obhistory/KDHN.html Previous record was 104, which was tied just yesterday. http://www.sercc.com/cgi-bin/sercc/cliRECt.pl?al2372 That's now 7 days of 102 or higher temps. One person died there on Saturday due to the heat.
Tampa, Florida hit 97 degrees today, tying the record for the date, and just two away from the all time record high. The heat index today bottomed out only at 96 degrees today at 7AM. The high low today was 84. Clouds must have helped today. It was 96 at 1PM and then 93 at 2PM. The intra hour reading of 97 occurred before 2PM, so if we had not had clouds, we could have warmed up further.
St. Petersburg had a high low of 85. Most of the night they had a heat index of 100. It's low heat index for the day so far has been 97. |
