The Sub-Equatorial Ridge (SER)

In many cases it forms on the west or SW side of a mid-Atlantic TUTT.
And usually when a wave gets past a TUTT and survives, it can develop in the SER.
In this case, NAM shows the SER NE of Hispaniola.
GFS shows it well developed 24 hrs later over a wider area in the Bahamas.
