I still have to do some more research on it. The company is actually based just a bridge ride away from my house. I just can't understand why something this important is so hard to find. That is the only thing I am concerned about when it comes to buying something like this online. It does say it comes with a 5 year warranty, but I still want to do more research.
Here is something else that might also be what I want, but I do not know if it is designed to protect the entire line coming into the house: http://www.apc.com/products/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=PV&tab=features It is a bit unclear. (this one sells for around $19 online)
Then both you have to ground. The American Power Conversion Corp. one (at the link in this post) comes with a wire and the Advanced Protection Technologies Inc. one (at the link in the previous post) has a lug you can attach a wire to. |
