I concede your point about the old days. Perhaps I exaggerated. I mean they would have observed wind shifts associated with Claudette's landfall, and could have deduced that it was a tropical system. I guess my point is that we've had so many non-starters. With the exception of Bill, I wonder what the lowest recorded barometer reading has been in any storm so far? Certainly not anything to write home about. But perhaps your right again about the season being early. Maybe we will see something. And not just a late Sept fish, moving up the central Atlantic. Will wait.
