| Jim climatology is not everything. You have seen the increasingly classic El Nino setup across the basin all season long with an onslaught of ULLs, troughs and shear tearing everything to shreds. Just as good hitting beats good pitching most of the time, a good El Nino beats climatology most of the time as well. Yes we have had the exception to the rule, some very ferocious and costly exceptions. But as long as there is no reason to suspect that the abundant ULLs and active trough cycle will suddenly cease (and with El Nino in place there certainly is not) climatology will not trump reality--not now and not 40 days from now. |
