| Jim, I saw something very similar to what you describe at around 11 a.m. Central Time Saturday. The ROV was pulling on something (or maybe making a cut; couldn't tell) and there was a big burst of material (like a WHOOSH had there been sound), that completely blotted out the view for a few seconds, then the ROV with the circular blade appeared in the foreground, staying still-- and then I had to leave and didn't get to see what happened next. When I got home later in the afternoon I saw that black plume and felt completely discouraged. Anyway, don't know if this is the same incident, but I'm with you in wishing we could get some decent information on what's happening down there in real time. |
