I think you are thinking too hard ?  Like changing an answer on a multiple choice question after over-analyzing the endless possibilities that "might" happen.  You can always read the Operational Plans Manuals for the 5 divisions (check chapter 9 in our region), or contact our chairman, Bill Read.

I personally think that "retired" means permanent, unless, of course, you are Michael Jordan...
