It already has the look of a more potent system than Bonnie---and it hasn't even been upgraded. I'm sure thats because it may be of the hybrid variety (sub-tropical). But in any case subtropicals get named too, they are generally larger systems, and winds of 65 mph are not uncommon in sub-tropical storms. Also, although less likely, sub-tropicals can make the transition to tropical (which I think is possible with this system) as it moves into the North Central Gulf. Don't be too quick to judge this on the Bonnie scale. The fact that it has more sub-tropical characteristics actually gives it a much better chance to become a more potent storm. Thats because it has formed something of a merger with the ULL--not simply the case of it being a flea on the back of a ULL, as Bonnie was.
