Stormlover,
Gaston is forecast by global and hurricane models to stay between 15-20N through 96hrs and be near PR or DR by this time. The steering pattern become more complex thereafter, with a general trend to turn NW. The trend after 96hrs is to turn NW and emerge north of PR / DR, here's where the issues will arise as 5 day plus atmospheric evolutions are uncertain.
It could turn north towards the eastern seaboard or turn west and go into the GOM.
Just need a few more days on this one. Timing looks to be the key with Gaston, as the pattern is fluent and across the northern latitudes will there be a trough or a high pressure area??? |
