well when Katrina came ashore i lived in crossville tn and we were under a inland tropical storm warning had a ice storm in 98 went 5 days without power then got hit with a deracho a ton of wind and lightning in nov 2002 in the middle of a PDS tornado watch in TN had one come a quarter mile of my location and that damn thing resembled a roaring jet  so i have seen alot in my time.
