I think the Okracoke, etc... area of the Outer Banks is going to suffer mightily from the east side storm surge, as well. Hope not though. In spite of that, one thing that will help all of us in NC is we've had an extremely dry year--at least EI has, for sure--but of course, EI's water table is what it is. We are sitting next to the ocean, after all.
Hubby and I both think most of the flooding here will be on the sound side. |
