There are few areas that would seem better-suited to understanding the basics of the intensification process. Pretty sure that we don't even have plus/minus intensity forecasting much beyond "chance" levels yet. Feels like it's very seldom that the 12 hour ones pan out as forecast. I notice that NHC has been noting a few additonal diagnostic theories in their discussions, though.
