Re: Adirondacks in Autumn

Beachlover .... even though now retired and living full time on the gulf-front in the FL big bend, I spent 20 wonderful years of my life in upstate NY (Saratoga county) in the foothills of the Adirondacks (1970's - 80's).  I never lost my awe about autumn's glory in those mountains and it continues to be something I yearn to experience again.  Having hiked and skied that area with my children when they were growing up, I feel profoundly grateful that my husband's career path led us to such a beautiful place and allowed us to live there for those important years.  If winters were not so harsh on us as retirees, we would move back there and may eventually do so anyway since our adult children are still there and refuse to live anywhere else.  Where in the Adirondacks is the wedding being held?  Lake George area?  Sending positive thoughts (tinged with a bit of envy) about your journey to the wedding.  May the rice and bouquets be tossed amidst colorful leaves against a background of clear blue skies.
