These rapid paced systems always have a tough time staying together.  If this one doesn't slow down, it will suffer the same fate.

Quite a few had their LLCs outrace the convection and die.

That is a very strong ridge above this system.

The track (excluding what it does or doesn't do, in terms of strength), is always troubling for the GOMEX.  One of the classic track patterns is what is setting up.  It is one that Dennis, Ivan, Gustav, and many others have followed.  Regardless of whether it is a wimper of a TS or a Cat 4 monster, a lot of rain and flooding would be in someone's forecast.



Who knows ...........  I think, given the current rate of speed and forecast, it will be Sunday or Monday before the tracks/models really get troubling, if it's even still around.

The meteorologists around the GOMEX and Atlantic Coast have got to be just salivating at the bone dangling in front of them.
