Have you checked out the latest loops, Jim?
Arthur is spinning up over high SSTs and the slow movement of the center of rotation may have stalled a bit.
What if an eye forms before it Hatteras?
Convection along the coastline may add a little moisture and what looks like a trough inland may connect to build up the west side of the storm.
Then you have the wildcard of cooler air from the North adding power after it leaves tropical water SSTs...
I am so glad this is not my daytime job. How can anyone plan for this?
