Boy, the Outer Banks cannot catch a break.
I think they just got Highway 12 fixed again, and this weekend was the first weekend they could get visitors back. And now this, right before the big Memorial Day weekend! There are a lot of small businesses and restaurants down there that exist only on tourism...those poor people.
Last night they had a bad house fire with two fatalities in Kill Devil Hills so the fire department/emergency services were busy with that tragedy at 4AM. Cause is yet undetermined. |
