I just can't contemplate how some people are able to deal with anything close to those kinds of temperatures. Some people do need to be outside at times and I don't know how they do it. And with power outages, people, especially the elderly, will be at risk. To stay warm people might use various heaters which can catch fire if too close to something or use a generator that might be in an area that is not very well ventilated and risk carbon monoxide poisoning. And there will be a whole lot of traffic accidents too. People need to stay home if they can and have food, water and warm clothes and blankets in case the power goes out.
