At least this one doesn't seem to be headed for areas further north where rescues could still be going on. Not that people recovering need it here either of course, but at least most of Florida didn't get too much rain from Helene. Although getting that first disturbance and then a potential storm, that could certainly flood some, such as along rivers. Yesterday about 4 miles from me randomly got 5 to 6 inches of rain. I only got a little over an inch. It's been a rainy year in parts of Florida, with some areas three times the rain as last year through this time, like around Sarasota I believe.
And for a wind event across Florida, that would mean needing a lot of power crews that might already be elsewhere across the southeast still trying to connect their power.
Invest 92L was at 70% through 7 days at 8pm EDT Friday. It would be nice if the peak stayed no more than a category one at most.
Recon is scheduled for Sunday. I wish they had a mission for Saturday. https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/recon.php It could be more developed than expected by Sunday.
