The 06Z really paints an ugly picture for the Fla. West Coast. But we'll have to wait and see. Predicting the timing of a turn is so difficult 5-6 days down the road. I've always said Tampa is going to get hit one day hard by a storm that does exactly what the GFS is predecting, but not convinced yet it's going to be this one. The models have trended more west with each run, and until they stop trending, I think this is going to continue to be nudged a little westward and a little deeper into the Gulf.
Euro is still holding steady, however, on a turn just before it hits the Florida coast. So if you're on the east coast, you're not out of woods, either. |
