Our family has a standing evacuation plan for anything over a CAT 4 and no less than half tank during hurricane season rule. The issue with the run I posted is the only place to run is north and if that thing follows that path everybody in the state is going to run. North is the only direction to run so the roads are going to be crazy.
I cannot remember which one, been since Andrew, but we had another one forecast to do this, People were running all the way to Tennessee to get away and the roads were jammed.
The GFS 06Z is making me feel a little less concerned but i am worried about panic with this happening so close to Harvey and fear another Rita, following Katrina, scenario. I was in Miami Dade when Erin came close and it was crazy because so many people panicked, understandably so. |
