Newest GFS should be coming out here in an hour. If the west trend continues, then I think all of a sudden the Central GC starts coming into play. I remember Rita and also Katrina in '05 where this thing kept trending west with every model run for a few days. Track kept changing. Went from Florida west coast to panhandle to eventually La/Texas.
If the first trough misses this, then I think Miami/Keys/Florida west coast comes into play. Then the question becomes will the next trough miss it. If it does, then the westward trend will continue and the Central GC comes into play. |
