Yes, if we learned anything from Katrina it was that we definitely need to keep an eye on those sheared waves that enter the western basin--how many times did the NHC itself declare that wave dead before it exploded near the Bahamas? At least twice? Definitely something to consider, though we should also keep in mind that conditions were a hundred times more favorable then as the 2005 season did not end until 2006--don't know about the rest of you but but that there is what I call "favorable conditions" LOL!
