Hanna, sorry I didn't specifically mention marine life impact. Beside trying to limit my already wordy post, I guess I felt that went without saying. We all have images of fish kills and oil-laden birds seared in our psyches, don't we? Also, if you can understand what I'm saying, sometimes I just don't feel I can reach those of certain political persuasions without talking economic, not environmental, damages.

And now today another new turn of events: It appears oil IS leaking from the well head after all. Surprise, surprise. And not emotion, but reality. Is this what we want happening to our coastal waters?
